So my first week on the Dexcom was up today (I’ve signed up for four weeks all up) and it was time to change over the sensor – something I’d only done with Justin from Insulin Pumps by my side, so I was keen not to mess it up on my own. It’s a pretty intuitive process, but you don’t want to get it wrong at $125 a pop, so I took care to re-read the instructions carefully. Always pays to get things right when needles are involved too, I find.
So I grabbed all my gear and headed off to the most isolated loo in the building – didn’t want the pressure of having to do it quickly. All…
