Well, it’s that time of year again when every magazine and newspaper you pick up is doing some sort of year in review, so I thought it only fitting that I do one for beingdiabetic.co.nz.

It seems that overall the classic rap about diabetes done by some friends of ours over in the United States was what captured your attention the most, with I.A.M.D.I.A.B.E.T.I.C getting the top spot for 2009. Four of the top ten were about BG meters (and it’s no wonder, these little gadgets get more use than our phones some days), and there were a couple in there of community interest plus one about pregnancy.

Here’s the list for you to go back through again:

1.  I.A.M.D.I.A.B.E.T.I.C

2.  Free Accu-chek Performa Nano for one lucky reader

3.  The Accu-chek or the Optium Xceed? Or something even newer?

4.  Hello, PHARMAC. So long, Southern Cross.

5.  The Type 1 diabetes pregnancy update – 34 weeks.

6.  A look at the new Accu-chek Performa Nano.

7.  Guest blog: Freestyle Lite.

8.  My hat goes off to David Collinson.

9.  From colostomy bags to amputations.

10. A mother speaks out about her son’s need for an insulin pump.
