Last year in November I did a post about Natasha and her little 18 month old boy James, who needed an insulin pump to make managing his T1 easier on him and his parents. The great news is that the extended community has come to James’ aid and he now has an insulin pump, which is making his life and his parents’ so much more manageable.

According to the article on stuff.co.nz:

Pharmaceutical company Roche contacted Natasha after the story ran offering them the pump for a discounted price of  $6000.

I’m going over to my Mum and Dad’s neighbours’ house today to give them a bit of a demo of my pump and a bit of background on pumping. They have a 12 year old son who’s had T1 for about a year now and are keen to investigate and possibly get him on a pump in the next few months.
